Labrador

Labrador Retriever is a muscular dog with water-resistant double coat. Thick nose, broad head and scissor bite are some of the physical features of a Labrador. The eyes are the same with German Shepherd–with intelligent expression. Moreover, there are two types of Labradors: the American Labrador and English Labrador. The two differ in body types–American bred lab is tall and lanky while English bred lab is thicker and heavier.

In addition, Labrador loves to swim, patient and lovable dog. Likewise, Labs are highly intelligent, loyal, good-natured and highly spirited dogs. Other than that, Labs are good in hunting, narcotics detection, guide for the blind, search and rescue, guide for disabled, tracking, police work and watchdogging. Before buying a Labrador, it is recommended to check the temperament of the puppy’s parents. Also, take note that this breed is prone to eye disorder, hip and elbow dysplasia. Lastly, Labradors should be walked for at least 30 minutes per day to avoid overweight.
